The defender's recovery is moving forward smoothly, raising possibility that the Madrid right-back may recover in time to face his former team Liverpool in the upcoming Champions League match.

The English player sustained a muscle injury during a match against Ligue 1 club Marseille in the initial phase of the competition on 16 September.

Alexander-Arnold was forced off the field in the fifth minute, with early estimates indicating a potential layoff of around a month and a half.

Real Madrid will travel to visit Liverpool on 4 November for the European fixture—precisely over a month since the injury took place.

Reports close to the player's condition suggest that the defender's comeback is moving along well, and there is optimism that Alexander-Arnold might make his first return to Liverpool's stadium since joining Real Madrid in June.

A devoted Liverpool fan, Alexander-Arnold previously remarked that departing from the club he entered as a six-year-old youth talent was the "most difficult decision he's ever taken."

During his spell with the Reds, Alexander-Arnold accumulated 354 appearances, contributing to claim two Premier League titles, a Champions League, and the FA Cup.

Since moving to Madrid, Alexander-Arnold has played five times in various tournaments, totaling over two and a half hours of game time.
